Joy Dare Collection

Take The Joy Dare

Count your blessings name them one by one. Do you remember this song? I loved this song growing up and still do today. Even on days that aren’t so sunny and cheery, I can still look around and see gifts and goodness surrounding me. This year I’m making the commitment to keep my positive joy and not only noticing, but giving Thanks for all the good gifts in my life!

Here’s an awesome way to make living in gratitude a reality. Ann Voskmap is the author of One Thousand Gifts: A Dare to Live Fully Right where you are. The book took a ride on the New York Times Best Sellers list for 60 weeks and brought joy to readers everywhere. You can also participate in what Voskamp calls The Joy Dare from her blog site A Holy Experience.

This past weekend I popped on her blog and printed the entire year’s Joy Dare Collection. (You can find the link here.)

Joy Dare Collection

Each day of the year calls for a list of 3 gifts; you can record them in a journal, take a photo of them or share them with your spouse. The lists range from January 4th listing A gift old, new and blue; to January 27th listing 3 gifts in the kitchen. I love it!

I printed my list along with a sheet of adorable scrapbook paper. Combining these along with a simple Dollar Tree frame gives me the Joy Dare reminder right at our ready every morning and evening on the nightstand.

Today was the first day my husband and I looked at the list and shared our gifts with one another. While just getting started on this project I know its something that is easily sustainable to be a lifelong habit. I’m thankful for this wonderful Joy Dare and celebrating 1000 gifts in my life all year long.

I hope you will join myself and many others as we take on the Joy Dare. You can even participate along with on Facebook or #1000Gifts. However you decide to grow gratitude in your life I pray that joy abound more and more as we celebrate the good gifts and where they come from.

I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord; apart from you I have no good thing.” Psalm 16:2
