Enough with this Winter weather already. I don’t know about your area, but we have been slammed this Winter with snowstorms, ice, sleet, and repeatedly. I am counting down the days to Spring kicking off on March 20th.
In the meantime today’s project is a fun way to bring Spring colors inside! The weather might be frightful outside, but this Spring Pomander will brighten up the room and hearts inside.
Start, with a plain flower planter from the craft or dollar store. Coat with paint of your choice.
I found this 4″ planter for 69 cents and used my favorite lemon yellow paint.
Next, use foam craft balls to create the base of your Pomander Bouquet.
I found a pack of foam craft balls in a variety of shapes at the ever-so-awesome Dollar Tree.
Cover your foam craft balls with floral stems trimmed down to the short stub. I simply plucked the flower from the plastic stem to create just a short 1/4″ stem that sticks nicely in the craft ball. You can also adhere the flowers even more securely with a bit of hot glue.
After your foam ball is half covered you can center and rest on the planter or adhere with glue if you prefer.
I’m loving this Spring Pomander Bouquet next to the kitchen window and brightening my coffee making morning routine. You could also cover the foam craft ball in its entirety and hang from the curtain rod. A floral pomander or kissing ball is sure to warm up any room no matter the temps outside.
Even Emaline hasn’t seen flowers in so long they are grabbing her attention.
Hang in there ladies Spring is on its way and all the beauty of life revived all around us!
