For years I’ve loved hiking it over the river to Rocky’s Restaurant in Jeffersonville, IN. If you aren’t from Louisville then you must know we often refer to this area as Kentuckiana; its a conglomeration of Louisville and Indiana. We sit right on the border of the Ohio River and you can hike it over to the Indiana side with a 10 minute drive across the bridge. But if I have to tell you these geographical explanations I must say, you need to come and visit. Louisville is a great city for a weekend roadtrip or in my opinion A great place to Live!
I have loved Rocky’s for awhile and not realized they’ve been local to the area for 35 years now. Woohoo! Another great reason to love our area, we have tons of locally owned businesses that serve up great food. Rocky’s Sub and Pub is located right on the riverfront so you can enjoy dining outdoors and having a great pizza and beer.
After having lived in Florida for a few years I am a gal who LOOOOVVVEEEESSS to eat alfresco and especially sitting out by the water. You may not see dolphins swimming by or hear the sound of the crashing waves. However, you will probably see the Belle of Louisville drift by and you will absolutely enjoy some yummy pizza.
