We just finished the final details of the office. Yay! I am so excited with the outcome. You’ve probably seen by now the gorgeous coral desk the hubby painted for me. Love it!
The office began like this:
A lot of natural color scheme with pops of lime and zebra pattern.
A little bit of messy with kitty’s box and mommy’s catchall ottoman for work tote, purse, shopping bags and whatever else I need to drop when I get home.
You’ve seen the desk reformation and now…
Take a walk with me into the new office.
I found this awesome rug from Ross for $49. Yippee. This was the color palette that inspired the office as I knew I wanted to mix coral and turquoise. My favorite colors are turning this into my favorite room.
The desk takes center stage in all its glory.
The original drawer pulls were gorgeous in shape and detail, but aged in time were this not so hot bronzey tarnish. Nothing a little Rustoleum spray paint can’t solve.
This statuesque chair I scored at a Yard Sale years ago and now its curvature fits right at home in the office.
For $2.99 at Ross I got this great fat chickie bird for the desk accent.
Along with this awesome $4.99 garden pot that I turned into a pen holder.
The printer moved off the old zebra ottomans onto this vintage lingerie chest that had been housed in the upstairs foyer. We changed the hardware on it to give it a little modern meets aged.
These turquoise curtains are anchored by creme tassels that I found scourging through the $1 bins at Michaels Crafts. I love the way they frame the window, but most of all stay out of Emaline’s way when she cozies up on her window bench.
While the office reno got a few updates several pieces stayed or were free and simply moved to their new home from another room in the house.
I love the cheerful pops of color and the bird theme that makes this a perfect morning spot for Emaline and I each morning.
