Is your little kiddo ready for Halloween? Countdown is on as the weather changes cooler and kids dreaming of buckets and bags full of candy and cavities!
I’ve got a cute costume idea for you and your little darling girl today.
Angel Wings Costume
10 paper plates
Glue (I prefer hot glue, but use your judgement if crafting with a young child.)
First step, is to separate 8 paper plates for the wings. You can trace the shape or simply eye it. Cut the edges off both left and right for the wings.
After, all wings are cut you will take one full plate and begin to arrange wings on the edges. You can alter a few times to get just right and level on both left and right sides. Glue wings onto main plate when you are happy with their alignment.
Next, you will attach another full plate to be glued onto the first, therefore, hiding the place where the wings were attached. This isn’t required, but tidies it up a bit. You can see in the picture below, take the plate and stack it on top so ridges meet up.
Finally, you will cut two ribbons both measuring 12″ apiece. Each ribbon piece will be glued to the upper left and upper right of the center plates. Find the center of each ribbon and glue to the proper place. Once each ribbon is glued on allow to dry thoroughly.
Ta-Da! You will use the ribbons to tie onto the child’s upper shoulders/arm area. You can let them go crazy with glitter and glue if she prefers!
I used these wings to tie onto the head chair for my girlfriend’s lingerie party. They would also be super cute for your little angel’s chair at the breakfast table to greet her on her birthday morning, as a Halloween costume with a sweet halo and white dress, or let your mind wander all the endless possibilities! Have fun with your little angel….
